Rupetta Academy FIDE-Guinness World Record (GWR) Attempt Tournament: 8-Hour Chess Marathon
Rupetta Academy, Abuja, Nigeria, is joining FIDE in celebrating its 100th Anniversary by attempting to break the Guinness world record for the longest chess marathon for the number of games played. We invite African chess players, particularly Nigerians, to join us for this historic event.
This historic event will see chess enthusiasts from around the globe come together for a monumental celebration of World International Chess Day. We are proud to be the only organisation in Abuja taking part in this incredible challenge!

The Challenge:
Play chess continuously for 8 hours.
Participate in a minimum of 40 games to be eligible for prizes.
The Prizes (in Naira):
- 1st: ₦45,000
- 2nd: ₦36,000
- 3rd: ₦30,000
- 4th-6th: ₦21,000
- 7th-10th: ₦6,000
- 11th-20th: ₦3,000
- 21st-30th & 40th, 50th, 60th, 70th, 80th, 90th, 100th: ₦6,000
- 31st-100th (excluding above): ₦1,500
